What does Polio immunization mean?

Define Polio immunization:

The vaccines available for vaccination against polio OPV (oral polio vaccine) and IPV (inactivated polio vaccine). OPV remains the most practical for most children. As its name suggests, is administered orally.

IPV or inactivated polio vaccine is given as a shot in the arm or leg. Infants and children should receive four doses of OPV.

Doses were given at 2 months, 4 months, 6-18 months and 4-6 years. People allergic to eggs or neomycin or streptomycin should be given other versions: OPV instead of the IPV injections.

Conversely, IPV should be administered if the vaccine is beneficial with the long term use of steroids (cortisone) therapy, has cancer or chemotherapy or if a household member has AIDS or if an unvaccinated adult in the house.
